Macaroni with sausage, mushrooms and truffle Gouda

Preparation

Grate or cut the cheese into small dice. Slice the mushrooms. Slice the garlic. Chop the herbs. Cut the sausage into pieces.

Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water as per the packet instructions. Brown the sausage pieces in a pan with oil over a medium heat. Add the mushrooms and garlic and continue cooking, stirring occasionally. Add the macaroni and some of the cheese to the pan away from the heat and mix thoroughly. Grill with the rest of the cheese on top.

Notes

You can use seasonal wild mushrooms instead of fresh mushrooms.
